This position/apprenticeship is open to students and enthusiasts who wish to learn more about the photography business and would like the opportunity to photograph alongside a professional. The right candidate will be available all day Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (dates TBD) between October 2012 and August 2013. My assistant will be eager to learn, teachable, and Punctual! You will work hard but you will have fun too. And yes, you will be paid!

What you will do:

• Assist with photographing weddings
• Assist with photographing portrait & pet sessions
• Assist with Op Love captures
• Carry & set up equipment
• Provide general location shoot assistance (carry umbrellas, check client makeup, hair, & wardrobe, entertain pets & children etc)
• Possibly assist with editing & client presentation

• Good Organization
• Good work ethic

Thanks to Nicole who recently emailed about a cemetery-chapel wedding, I was  inspired to look through my stack of Oakwood Cemetery photographs. Okay, it is a virtual stack but yes, I have a thing for cemeteries too.

I can barely imagine the painstaking work involved in the creation of these marvelous structures- all without the aid of modern technology and tools. Lots of ‘oos’ and ‘ahhhhs’ were had while walking through.
